Barcelona (PRWEB) February 26, 2013 – Node-H has made its complete software solution for residential small cells available for Broadcom’s new BCM61630 device for residential small cells. The BCM61630 combines a baseband modem and RF transceiver on a single-chip. Node-H software, combined with Broadcom’s system-on-a-chip (SoC), offers a highly-integrated residential femtocell solution that combines low-cost and outstanding performance in a small form factor. Node-H software is a high-quality, complete solution for small cells, and can be fully integrated on Broadcom BCM616xx chipsets. For residential small cells it supports HSPA+ performance and eight users.
Node-H and its partners provide the complete software required for deployment of residential small cells. The solution addresses not only the protocol software but also the system, security, timing synchronization, software update, provisioning, self-organization and production aspects of the small cell product. Node-H protocol and provisioning has been fully interoperability tested with multiple network vendor ecosystems, comprising FGW, SeGW and HMS. As a result, OEMs and ODMs can bring a Node-H-based small cell product to market in a matter of months.
“The Node-H software running on the Broadcom BCM61630 is a simple and straightforward solution for operators. It is a proven package, already in widespread deployment, now optimized at the chipset level,” says Mike Cronin, chief executive officer of Node-H. “Broadcom’s cost-effective silicon, along with Node-H’s proven interoperability, can enable operators to deploy residential small cells in ever higher volumes.”
Demonstrations of Node-H femtocell features can be viewed at the Node-H website http://www.node-h.com/showcase.html.
